Abstract:During the development of electronic aircraft operating technical publication, the selection of basal standards will be essential. This paper analyses and study two mostly common used standard, namely ATA2300 and S1000D, based on the construction and servicing of the Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL). Similarities and differences of the data management, structure of data module, the definition of data etc. of the two standards were analyzed, and the supporting characterize to specific project were discussed. The study reveals that the ATA2300 provides more maturely supporting to flight operating documents, and should be taken precedence during the construction of the MEL.
