    Abstract:

    The application of Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs) is an effective means for gas turbines to reduce the surface temperature of hot-end components, restrain hot corrosion and obtain high thrust weight ratio. This paper first introduced the composition and structure of TBCs and then summarized three common failure modes such as erosion and foreign material damage, sintering oxidation and hot corrosion, and next the repair and remanufacturing methods of damaged and failed coatings at home and abroad were elaborated. finally, a series of problems and prospects were proposed.
